Moscow, August 24, 2005. Today, Intercomp company, leader of the Russian financial and HR business processes outsourcing market, announced signing of the agreement with IBS’s DATA FORT Outsourcing Centre. The agreement covers the support of fail-safe performance of INTERCOMP corporate information systems. In accordance with the terms of the agreement, INTERCOMP shall place its IT systems at IBS’s data center as well as transfer to DATA FORT certain tasks, which involve refining of the payroll accounting software developed by INTERCOMP earlier.

INTERCOMP is the representative office of American company providing financial and HR business processes outsourcing services in Russia beginning from 1994. The company has its offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg. «We are well aware that updating of the company infrastructure and technical facilities is a prerequisite to successful business development, — says Lorentz McDugal, new INTERCOMP executive manager. — Total investments in technological development of the company for the nearest year will amount to US$1.5 mln, with larger portion of these resources assigned for non-profile functions outsourcing».

Under the terms of the agreement, INTERCOMP corporate mailing system based on Microsoft Exchange Server shall be transferred to DATA FORT Outsourcing Centre. DATA FORT shall provide everyday backup and information data protection, round-the-clock monitoring and administering of servers and directly mailing system itself, as well as technical support of about 150 users’ mailboxes.

Using outsourcing model will allow INTERCOMP to provide uninterrupted performance of mailing system, reduce actual costs of its support and maintenance, and also to make it accessible to employees of the USA headquarters and St. Pitersburg office. DATA FORT shall set up a dedicated High Speed Line Driver Option with 100 MB/s communications capacity to provide for robust communication between INTERCOMP Moscow office and DATA FORT’s data center servers.

In addition to mailing system, INTERCOMP is planning to install in DATA FORT Outsourcing Centre its basic corporate payroll accounting system, which makes it possible to carry out calculations of any complexity for companies with arbitrary number of employees in any Russia and CIS region. At present, DATA FORT experts are engaged in system sizing, i.e. the required performance rate is determined to be translated to the data center servers.

«While most companies in Russia still feel suspicious about transferring non-profile functions to outsourcing, the mere fact of its usage acts beneficially on the development of our business as a whole, — says Yurii Samoilov, the director of IBS’s DATA FORT Outsourcing Centre. — It is worth pointing out that as far as INTERCOMP is concerned, the transfer of non-profile business processes to outside organization was betaken by the company rendering similar services in related areas. INTERCOMP is perhaps the first company-outsorcer in Russia to transfer to outsorcing certain tasks concerned with support and maintenance of its information systems».

This is not the end of the cooperation between companies. INTERCOMP and IBS’s DATA FORT Outsourcing Centre are planning to carry out a number of joint actions for promotion of outsourcing services to the Russian market this autumn.
