IBS Data Center has gone through the technological disaster in Moscow without breakdowns and losses.

27 May, 2005. The senior officials of the IBS company and Outsourcing Center DATA FORT inform that the power system cataclysm did not affect the Data Center of the company. The Center worked uninterrupted.

It was a concatenation of circumstances that a week ago DATA FORT has carried out a routine training on power supply emergency situations. The training included checking of the executive staff and automated systems actions in conditions of lack of power supply, simulation of all possible planned situations and work procedures aimed to ensure uninterrupted power supply of the object. Power supply fallout was simulated during the training, and the Data Center was virtually disconnected from Mosenergo network. Within 45 second, an established diesel engine was started in automatic mode under the control of the responsible persons: the generator set (DGU) worked two hours and fully provided the Data Center with the autonomous power supply, thus confirming its perfect readiness to work in emergency situations. At starting of the generator set, the Data Center was provided with power supply via UPSes; as the generator had reached the nominal condition, it was switched to provide the power supply. The training carried out a day before proved reliability of the Data Center infrastructure. All the systems within it ran steadily, thus confirming readiness to uninterrupted functioning in force-majeure circumstances.

On 25th of May, when the technological crisis occurred in the Russian capital, the Data Center was uninterruptedly provided with the power supply via the undamaged Mosenergo power inputs. The Data Center ran in normal mode, and the generator set was not started.

Our clients said they were sure of efficiency of their systems located in Data Center DATA FORT, notwithstanding the power supply breakdowns; they continued their work without data losses, damages to equipment, and additional recovery costs after the power supply was resumed.
