June 14, 2006. Moscow. DATA FORT has been certified to two international standards at once — ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management System) and ISO 20000-1:2005 (IT Services Management System). Certification process involved two stages: documentation analysis (February 19-22) and management system certification (May 15-19, 2006). The international corporation Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) acted as an independent certifying body.

As per the certification results the Quality Management System and IT Services Management System of DATA FORT were recognized compliant with the requirements of international standards ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 20000-1:2005.

The ISO/IEC 20000-1:2005 standard is the world’s first international standard of IT services management. This standard based on ITIL library summarizes global experience in organization of IT services management and serves as a foundation for creating an IT services model.

IT Services Management System and the Quality Management System of DATA FORT are integrated with each other and with the company’s management system as a whole.

In November 2006 the outsourcing center plans to obtain certification of its security system to the international standard ISO 27001, which will complete creation of a single complex business management system. Business Management System assumes that various management components are united into a single whole as a system of interrelated elements, and not as a mechanical assemblage. Management components include organization, resources, and processes.

The peculiarity of the Business Management System created in DATA FORT is the use of certain CMM approaches, such as the standard service process, process of the standard process «tuning» to the client’s needs and peculiarities, service process for specific clients (as a result of such tuning), etc. Creation of such a system required material organizational reconstruction of the company.

According to the General Director of DATA FORT Yury Samoilov, «Creation of the complex business management system materially increases business manageability, reduces risks of insufficient coordination in service rendering, and, as a consequence, boosts services’ quality. As a result the client obtains exactly what he or she expects in time and of high quality».

DATA FORT approach to creating the integrated Business Management System was recognized by LRQA as a model, and LRQA plans to distribute it as an example of a «best practice» of organizing IT Service Management in Europe.
