Oracle Corporation CIS office and DATA FORT, an IBS ASP-project, announced a joint marketing program aimed to promote its services of remote access to Oracle9i Database on terms of leasing (ASP model).

Leasing in DATA FORT will allow the companies to optimize the Oracle software acquisition and servicing costs. Thus, Oracle Database will be available for the companies with small IT budget, that earlier either couldn't afford to purchase such software or used it illegally. Due to the leasing model, the IT infrastructure costs are optimized — costs are more predictable and economical.

Monthly leasing payment completely covers the costs for IT staff, administration, back-up and 24x7 monitoring. Averaged calculations show that in case of ASP model for a two year term, clients can save up 260% against license purchasing.

This service may be of most interest to Internet/Intranet applications developers and users, to the owners of "heavy" web-sites (ex. web-sites of trade companies with images of e-commerce), to the companies which have to update data through Internet on permanent basis (financial, broker companies).

Currently, DATA FORT provides Oracle database in the hosting mode, including data security and technological support services. For example, DATA FORT ensures data security and registration system accessibility of the Softkey.ru shareware programs.
