IBS company who is the leader of the Russian system integration and consulting market, together with telecom group Cable&Wireless announced the launching of Application Service Providing project DATA FORT through which comprehensive ASP services will be delivered to Russian and foreign companies.

First three month the project will be functioning in a testing mode. Its commercial launching is scheduled for autumn 2001.

DATA FORT services give the clients an actual possibility to use applications previously inaccessible due to prohibitive prices, to reduce contingencies risk factors and to substantially decrease (up to 50pc) the costs associated with hiring high-class IT specialists, purchasing expensive elaborate equipment and maintaining the security of the confidential information. DATA FORT was developed based on the leading-edge requirements of efficiency, security and service quality.

DATA FORT differs fundamentally from other projects operating in the Russian outsourcing services market in the field of infrastructure and Internet service providing outsourcing, in that it is aimed at delivering ASP model services enabling the clients to have access to business applications and other software via Internet and Virtual Private Networks. DATA FORT services will be delivered to the clients from facilities of the Internet Data Center (IDC) operated by Cable&Wireless.
